Fadnavis misses Obama dinner

Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis missed a dinner engagement with U.S. President Barack Obama because the Maharashtra Sadan in Delhi did not send the invitation in time. The State government has ordered an enquiry into the delay.

“Maharashtra Sadan in New Delhi received the invitation on January 17. However it did not reach Mumbai on time. The officer concerned chose to send the invitation via Speed Post,” Mr. Fadnavis said. He was among a select group of CMs invited for the dinner at Rashtrapati Bhavan.
