Reliance Industries Ltd. vice-president (finance) K.V. Mohanan and a Mumbai-based chartered accountant, Rajendra Chitale, were again questioned in connection with the corporate espionage case by the Central Bureau of Investigation on Friday.

“Statements being examined”

“If necessary, we will ask them to re-appear before the investigating team. Their statements are being examined to verify the facts of the case. The RIL official is being quizzed to establish the nature of his relations with charted accountant Khemchand Gandhi who was earlier arrested in Mumbai on charges of procuring classified document stolen from Finance and Commerce Ministries,” said a CBI official.

Mr. Chitale was summoned for questioning, after his business partner Paresh Chimanlal Buddhadeb was arrested for allegedly procuring and destroying classified documents.
