The 69th Independence Day was celebrated by Waltair division of East Coast Railway at RPF New Parade Ground with great passion. Chandralekha Mukherjee, DRM, unfurled the national flag.
During 2014-15, Waltair Division registered an increase of 6.21 per cent in gross revenue to the tune of Rs.6655.33 crore, the DRM told the large gathering.
The DRM presented appreciation certificates and commemorative rewards to the staff of the Waltair Division who rendered commendable service during the Godavari Mahapushkaram.
