: In one of the rarest cases in the history of medicine, doctors at a Kuppam hospital removed uterus from a 23-year-old man after he was admitted there with acute stomach ache.

According to information, Amaresh (23), a daily wager from Hosur town of Krishnagiri district of Tamil Nadu, went to Priya Nursing Home at Kuppam on Tuesday night. On Wednesday morning, Dr. Sudhir and his team, based on scanning reports, diagnosed the condition as hernia.

But while performing surgery, the doctors were stunned on seeing full-fledged formation of uterus in the abdomen.

After a three-hour-long surgery, the team had removed the uterus and a tumour as well at night.

Speaking to the media on Thursday, Dr. Sudhir observed that this phenomenon is considered as the rarest— one in a five crore population.

“At present, the patient is perfectly healthy, and he will not face any complications in the future,” he said.
