The Chittoor police on Tuesday arrested three accused in the double murder of Chittoor Mayor Katari Anuradha and her husband Katari Mohan on November 17. While Chandrasekhar alias Chintu (nephew of Katari Mohan) has been listed as A1 accused, police suspect the involvement of a total of 11 people in the crime.

Chittoor SP Mr. Ghattamaneni Srinivas produced the three before the media here on Tuesday evening. They are G.S. Venkatachalapati (51) of Someswarapalem of Mulabagal taluk of Kolar district in Karnataka; T. Manjunatha (27) of Maredupalle Dalitwada of Gangavaram mandal in Chittoor district and K. Jayaprakash of Ganganapalle ward of Chittoor.

A special party arrested the trio in Gangavaram mandal. They had been under surveillance for a week after they approached the I-Town police for protection immediately after the murder.
