Arrangements for the much-publicised public meeting to be addressed by actor and Jana Sena Party founder Pawan Kalyan at the Indira Priyadarshini Municipal Stadium in Visakhapatnam on Thursday do not look much different from the way his movies are promoted.
On Tuesday, his party managers released a special song composed for the occasion with a voice-over by the actor himself, taken from his March 14 address here, to select fans. The song encompasses all the problems common to present day society and assures that the only solution was Jana Sena Party.
Typical of the shroud of secrecy over any activity pertaining to the Jana Sena, it is not known as to who wrote the lyrics and composed the music for this special song. The lines go, ‘Swatantram kosame Jana Sena, Saamanyudi dhairyame kosame Jana Sena, Jana Kshemam kosame Jana Sena, Pawanam la kadilenu mana Jana Sena.’ Translated in Telugu, the lyrics means Jana Sena for freedom, for courage and empowerment of the common man, for people’s welfare and ‘our Jana Sena that will move with the force of the wind’.
A three-minute demo video was also released, using Google Earth-like images and showing the seating arrangements at the stadium.
Student volunteers from different colleges in Visakhapatnam are hard at work in the Indira Priyadarshini Municipal Stadium, where the public meeting will be held, from 4 p.m. onwards on March 27. Like it happened in the March 14 fans meeting here, Mr. Pawan Kalyan will be the only person on the dais, it is said.
The only thing different this time round, would be that there would be no entry passes and the stadium can accommodate one lakh people. Organisers are leaving no stone unturned to facilitate such a large gathering in the port city of Visakhapatnam.
