SFI Guntur district committee has found fault with Minister for Agriculture P. Pulla Rao and Collector Kantilal Dande for taking part in a programme to felicitate students of a corporate school, who have topped the SSC and Intermediate examinations. SFI district committee secretary V. Bhagwan Das and president P. Manoj Kumar said that while they were not finding fault with the decision to felicitate the students, the presence of Minister and senior district official in a function of a corporate institution raised many eyebrows. “Had the Minister taken part in a programme felicitating toppers of government-run schools, we would have appreciated it. Recently, the government launched ‘Mana Ooru - Mana Badi’ to encourage students to enrol themselves in government schools,” they said.
