SCR adds 31,000 berths, 10 express trains

The South Central Railway (SCR) has added 31,000 more berths and seats by temporarily augmenting trains with additional coaches for specific timeframes in September and October. Thus, the carrying capacity of 30 express trains will increase, said a press release.

Some of them are Train number 12715/12716 Nanded-Amritsar-Nanded Sachkand Express that will run with an additional sleeper coach between September 16 and 25 and September 18 to 30, respectively, Nanded-Mumbai-Nanded Tapovan (AC Chaircar) and Hyderabad-Narsapur-Hyderabad (AC III tier) between September 16 and October 1.

Also, Hyderabad-Trivandrum-Hyderabad Sabari (AC III tier) between September 18 and October 4, Secunderabad-

Machilipatnam

-Secunderabad (sleeper) between September 16 and October 1.

Other popular trains included Secunderabad-Bhubaneshswar- Secunderabad Visakha, Secunderabad-Tirupati-Secunderabad Padmavathi, Secunderabad-Tirupati-Secunderabad Seven Hills, Secunderabad-Darbanga-

Secunderabad, Secunderabad-Sainagar-Secunderabad, Tirupati-Karimnagar-Tirupati, Tirupati-Puri-Tirupati, Tirupati-Bilaspur-Tirupati, and Guntur-Vikarabad-Guntur Palnadu Express.

AC III tier coach

The temporary measures apart, the SCR will also augment 10 express trains permanently with an AC III Tier coach, thus adding 640 more berths.

Secunderabad Visakha Express, from September 28 ex-Secunderabad and September. 30, ex-Bhubaneswar, train number 7480/17479 Tirupati-Puri-Tirupati from September 29, ex-Tirupati and October 1, ex-Puri, no. 17481/17482 Tirupati-Bilaspur-Tirupati Express AC September 27 ex-Tirupati and September 29, ex-Bilaspur, train number

12764/12763 Secunderabad-Tirupati-

Secunderabad Padmavathi Express from September 28 ex-Secunderabad and September 29 ex-Tirupati and no. 12731/12732 Secunderabad-Tirupati-Secunderabad from September 29 ex-Secunderabad and Sept. 30, ex-Tirupati.
