SBH plans to switch over to solar power

State Bank of Hyderabad inaugurated a 77.47 kw grid-connected solar system for Gunfoundry Branch in Hyderabd on Saturday. The branch building got INTACH Heritage award 2015.

State Bank of Hyderabad (SBH) has installed a 77.47 kw grid-connected solar power system for its Gunfoundry branch building in the city. The solar power system was inaugurated by Managing director Santanu Mukherjee as part of the Independence Day celebrations on Saturday.

An official said that the system has been installed atop the adjoining SBH head office. “The system is feeding the Gunfoundry branch building, which got the INTACH Heritage Award 2015. The bank is also contemplating to take up installation of solar power systems in all its own buildings in a phased manner,” a release said.

As part of the Independence day celebrations, Mr.Mukherjee hoisted the national flag in the head office in the presence of a large number of employees, representatives of the Officers Association and Award Staff Association and top management.
