4-year-old dies of suspected dengue

A 4-year-old girl from Madanapalle died at a private hospital in Bengaluru on Monday, reportedly with symptoms of dengue. District Medical and Health Officer Dr. Koteswari said that the girl was admitted to Bengaluru hospital, after undergoing treatment for 10 days at a local clinic in Madanapalle. On May 18, she was rushed to Bengaluru and died in the evening. “Our team, on initial stages of investigation, found no evidence of dengue,” she said, adding it was a case of some other complication. District Malaria Officer said that a report was awaited on Wednesday.
