Persons with special abilities could now acquire photo identity card for availing railway concessions during travel, said Senior Divisional Commercial Manager G. Sriramulu.
SCR, Guntur, said those with special abilities could directly approach the commercial branch in person or send their applications through post with a covering letter, concession certificate obtained from a competent doctor or a hospital, valid photo identity proof- voter ID card, passport, PAN card or Aadhar card, a proof of date of birth, address proof and two recent pass port size photographs.
The covering letter should be addressed to Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, South Central Railway, Divisional Railway Manager's Office Complex, Guntur-560 023.
The application letter should be superscribed as “Application for issue of Railway Identity Card for Physically Challenged Persons for ticketing” and should be sent to Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, South Central Railway, Divisional Railway Manager's Office, Rail Vikas Bhavan, Pattabhipuram Guntur-522006.
Validity
The validity of the card is for five years.
