The provisional allocation of employees between Andhra Pradesh and Telangana is likely to begin from April end, after the lull in the process for more than a month.

The Kamalnathan Committee has done an elaborate exercise right from division of State cadre posts in 87 departments, notifying them and seeking seniority list of employees with clearance from the respective department heads and sending out option forms to the staff to indicate their choice of State cadre supported by documents related to education, health and etc.

The panel made it clear that such options without valid supporting documents related to local candidate status, health issues, will not be entertained, according to sources.

Meanwhile, Of the 110 units in 87 departments, more than 40,000 employees will have to be allocated between the two States. So far, employees in 67 units have submitted their options and the mandatory time to receive objections and suggestions related to the options was over for 53 units.
