People watching Congress ‘drama’: BJP

Ch. Vidyasagar Rao wants Digvijay to talk to Sushma Swaraj on passage of ‘T’ bill

July 11, 2013 10:01 am | Updated December 04, 2021 11:16 pm IST - KARIMNAGAR:

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) senior leader Ch. Vidyasagar Rao has said that the people of Telangana region will teach a fitting lesson to the Congress party if it further delays the formation of separate state.

Talking to newsmen here on Wednesday, he said that the people of the region were watching the ‘drama’ being played by the Congress leaders on the statehood issue. “If the Congress uses the existing game plan on the formation of Telangana statehood for the panchayat elections, it will definitely face the wrath of the people,” he maintained.

Stating that no one asked for Rayala-Telangana state, he demanded that the Congress leader Digvijay Singh should talk to the BJP leader in Parliament Sushma Swaraj for the passage of bill on the formation of separate Telangana state at the earliest.

Banks on Modi mantra

He hoped that the party would regain its lost glory in the district in general and the State in particular with the slogan of separate Telangana statehood and the Narendra Modi mantra in the coming elections.
