His younger brother Pawan Kalyan, who launched Jana Sena party, meeting BJP’s candidate for Prime Minster Narendra Modi has surprised him, according to Union Minister of State and chairman of APCC’s publicity committee K. Chiranjeevi. “I strongly believe that Pawan is secular in thinking but his meeting Mr. Modi, who is responsible for post-Godhra violence is a surprise for me,” Mr. Chiranjeevi said during the Meet-the-Press programme. “We both can express our views and I appreciate his views. But (he does not understand that) Congress is a secular party”, he said. His younger brother had not discussed with him forming Jana Sena and when Praja Rajyam existed he headed the youth wing Yuva Rajyam but did not want party posts. He went back to acting after the elections and also did not oppose the party’s merger with the Congress, Mr. Chiranjeevi said.
