Panel on guidelines for staff allocation to meet tomorrow

The State Advisory Committee on guidelines for final distribution of State-level employees between the two successor States of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh will meet in Delhi on May 28.

The Committee headed by C.R. Kamalnathan and comprising Central government officials Archana Varma, Joint Secretary, Department of Personnel and Training, Chief Secretary P.K. Mohanty, State government officials P.V. Ramesh and Nagireddy will deliberate on the draft guidelines for the final allocation of State-level employees between the two States.

The meeting will also discuss 371(D) Article related to public employment, Presidential Order and their impact on distribution of employees and representations given by Telangana and Seemandhra employees’ JACs.

Once the draft guidelines are approved in about three weeks, they will be discussed in the public domain to invite feedback and objections and then final guidelines will be issued. Then options will be invited from the employees before distributing them to the two successor States based on the guidelines, sources said. The process is expected to take about three to four months.
