May 23, 2014 11:37 pm | Updated October 18, 2016 02:43 pm IST - HYDERABAD:

The Bar Council of India has expressed the view that it might not be possible to commence a new Bar Council for Telangana State after a sub-committee constituted with regard to establishment of Bar Council of Telangana sought clarifications from it. The Bar Council of India said that it might not be possible to establish a new Council since a separate High Court is not established and that Section 34(2) of A.P. Reorganisation Act made provision for the advocates before the HC of Judicature at Hyderabad to avail their option of practice within one year from the date of establishment of HC the AP and HC Telangana State.
