Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan will inaugurate the National Vedic Conference to be hosted by the TTD’s Sri Venkateswara Vedic University here from March 17 to 20.
Three venues are being arranged for the event where the sessions will be conducted in Telugu, Sanskrit and English, wherein 30 scientific papers will be presented in each of the venues, Vice-Chancellor K.E. Devanathan told the media here on Sunday. Eminent scientists will take part in the English sessions, named as ‘Veda Science’, to unravel the science behind the scriptures, while the Telugu sessions will be on ‘Veda Itihasa Purana Darsana (philosophy) and Sastras’. Under the concept ‘Veda Nivedanam’, pundits from the four streams of Vedas will recite verses throughout the day to spread a divine ambience.
A ‘Vedic exhibition’ will be conducted to display the different implements used in consecration of deities and for religious sacrifices like ‘Yagams’. Learned Vedic scholars will also be honoured on the occasion.
