National Agama meet from Jan. 7

Sri Venkateswara Vedic University (SVVU), Tirupati, will host a national-level meet on Agama (doctrine of worship) from January 7 to 9, in which 180 scholars will take part.

Papers will be presented on Vaikhanasa, Pancharatra and Saiva agamas by over 60 researchers from across the country. The entire event will be held under the supervision of TTD’s agama advisor Sundaravadanacharyulu, while chief priest A.V. Ramana Dikshitulu will deliver the keynote address.

According to Vice-Chancellor K.E. Devanathan, incumbent EO D. Sambasiva Rao will take part in the inaugural ceremony.
