Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has failed to fulfil his promise to provide irrigation water to the KC Canal ayacut all through the year, YSR Congress Party MLA of Panyam Gauru Charitha Reddy alleged on Friday.
Resenting stoppage of water release to KC Canal from Muchumarri lift-irrigation scheme, the MLA said KC Canal was deprived of water even when the Srisailam reservoir level has water storage up to the 858 feet mark.
Alleging injustice in releasing of water from Srisailam reservoir to meet the needs of farmers of the district, she said fate of crops in thousands of acres under KC Canal remained uncertain.
Ms. Charitha Reddy charged Mr. Chandrababu Naidu with failing to secure the rightful share of Tungabhadra water.
