October 28, 2017 11:23 pm | Updated 11:23 pm IST - GUNTUR

The practice of medicine has undergone a sea change over the past few decades and medicine graduates have to keep abreast with the changing dynamics of the profession, Padmashree awardee and noted pediatrician Y. Nayudamma said here on Saturday.

Addressing students on “Medicine- Past, Present and Future” at Katuri Annual Medical Plexus held at Katuri Medical College, Dr. Nayudamma said clinical examination was the best way to diagnose the patient’s sickness and the reliance on diagnostics is only complementary to the physical examination of the patient, she said.

The conference also focused on anti microbial resistance with a talk by Ramesh Babu from NRI Hospital followed by a panel discussion on patient safety by Sarath Babu, Pinnamaneni Siddahartha Medical College, Gannavaram.

Dean K.S Vara Prasad, medical superintendent Ch. Mohan Rao and organizing secretary M. Bheemesh Naidu were among those present.
