Man held for pelting stones at train

Passengers travelling by Kochuveli- Guwahati Special Express spent anxious moments as a man created a scare by hurling stones at the engine and general compartments on Monday. The incident took place at Vejandla railway station near Tenali. The man identified as M. Murmur, was believed to be mentally challenged. DSP, Railways, R. Vijaya Paul, said the man slipped into the engine when the train stopped at Vejendla for a crossing. Suddenly, he began pelting stones at the engine breaking the glass pane. Police caught the man and handed him over to Government Railway Police.
