Indian Medical Association (IMA) State President P. Gangadhar demanded that the government do away with G.O No. 465 which facilitates training and certification of registered and private medical practitioners (RMPs and PMPs).
Addressing mediapersons here on Thursday, Mr. Gangadhar said, by imparting training and certifying RMPs and PMPs who had no eligibility to practise medicine, the government was endangering public health.
Protesting against this, IMA is organising a rally from Siddhartha Medical College to Ramavarappadu Junction on Friday morning to mount pressure on the government.
IMA State office-bearers Karuna Murthy and P. Anil Kumar, city president M. Subhash Chandra Bose, Rasik Sanghvi and B. Mallika were present.
