Andhra Pradesh Mahila Commission Chairperson Nannapaneni Rajakumari warned that severe action would be taken against those who comment on the dressing of women.

Referring to the comments made by an Opposition MLA on the attire of Tourism Minister Bhuma Akhila Priya on Saturday, the Commission chief wondered on why the MLA commented on ‘Punjabi Suit’ (Chudidar), which was a traditional dress. “Chudidar is allowed in all temples and it was traditional attire in many States. It is our responsibility to respect our customs,” she said.
