Central panel to study drought

A committee from Central Government will visit the State in April to study drought conditions, according to Chief Secretary I.Y.R. Krishna Rao. Mr. Rao held a video conference with Anil Singhal and P.V. Ramesh, A.P. Bhavan, New Delhi and discussed issues pertaining to sourcing under the 13{+t}{+h}Finance Commission, Hudhud Cyclone relief funds. He later held a review meeting with secretaries on sourcing of funds from the Centre, seven missions, status of Aadhaar seeding, energy conservation etc. He directed the officials from to focus on Aadhaar seeding as the government had decided to link all the welfare schemes, ration cards and other benefits with Aadhaar card.
