YSR Congress Party honorary president and former MLA Y.S. Vijayamma on Sunday remarked that Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu was perturbed at her son and party president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s padayatra commencing on Monday.
Recalling the people’s overwhelming support to her husband and former Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy’s padayatra, Ms. Vijayamma told the media at Pulivendula that YSR had comprehended the people’s woes during his padayatra and prepared a blue print for several welfare schemes implemented by him on gaining power. Stating that YSRCP was floated to carry forward YSR’s goals, she appealed to the people to bless Mr. Reddy during his padayatra conceived to gauge the people’s problems. While YSR government had disbursed pensions to 70 lakh beneficiaries, Mr. Naidu pruned it to half.
