Ministers for Health and Human Resource Development Kamineni Srinivas and Ganta Srinivasa Rao on Wednesday lashed out at Leader of the Opposition in Assembly and YSR Congress president Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy for what they termed as “misbehaving” with Krishna District Collector Babu A, and advised him to undergo medical check-up for “losing his mental balance.”

Addressing the media here, they said that Mr. Jaganmohan Reddy stooped down to the level of a “street goonda” by threatening to jail Mr. Babu and doctors at the Nandigama Government Hospital, and delayed the post-mortem of those who were killed in the bus accident when the vehicle belonging to Diwakar Travels fell into a canal.

The Ministers said that Mr. Jaganmohan Reddy did not maintain decorum, held a press conference in the hospital ignoring the request of the Collector to organise it outside, and snatched away the police requisition slip for conducting post-mortem on the bodies.

‘No delay’

They said there was no truth in the charge that the process was deliberately delayed. Instead, the Ministers found fault with the Opposition leader for the “avoidable delay.”

The Ministers said that Mr. Jaganmohan Reddy also threatened to jail the Collector and the doctors, and spoke as if he was the Chief Minister.

“For the first time, a Leader of the Opposition is talking about his rights, forgetting his duties and responsibilities,” th Ministers alleged.
