6 Additional Solicitors General re-appointed

The Union Law Ministry on Thursday re-appointed six Additional Solicitors General to the Supreme Court for a period of two years with effect from July 5.

They are: Mohan Parasaran; P.P. Malhotra, Indira Jaising, Mohan Jain, Gourab Banerjee and Harin P. Raval. The tenure of M. Ravindran, Additional Solicitor General for south, based in Madras High Court has come to an end and few names are considered for appointment. The post of Assistant Solicitor General in the Madras High Court is also vacant for over a year.
