At least seven people died and four remain missing after high winds and rain triggered by typhoon Nari hit central Vietnam, authorities said on Wednesday.
Two people were killed and 22 injured when high winds destroyed houses in Quang Binh province, Dau Minh Ngoc, chairman of Quang Son district’s People’s Committee said.
Five people died on Tuesday after Typhoon Nari made landfall at around 7 am (0000 GMT), uprooting trees and causing power outages, the National Search and Rescue Committee said.
Around 120,000 people were evacuated to makeshift shelters.
