A scaffolding collapse at a Beijing high school on Monday morning killed 10 people and injured four, Chinese state media reported.
Xinhua said the accident occurred at Tsinghua High School in the city’s northwest.
A high school official told the Associated Press that all the victims were workers building a school gymnasium. He said no teachers or students were involved.
The official said rescue crews were waiting for equipment able to lift heavy debris before they could clear the site.
