A newspaper sting has prevented a 16-year-old girl from travelling to Syria to become a jihadi bride.

Britain’s Daily Mail reported on Friday that the girl had been planning to travel to Syria via Turkey and Switzerland after completing her exams.

The paper said a reporter posed as a teen wishing to travel with the 16-year-old. The girl’s elder sister reportedly left Britain earlier and allegedly is a recruiter for the Islamic State group.
