The annual maintenance work at a couple of main feeders will disrupt power supply in many areas in Puducherry.

PUDUCHERRY

Power supply will be disrupted between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. in some areas on Thursday because of maintenance work in the 110/22 kV Villianur-Kalapet feeder.

The areas to be affected are: Pillaichavady, Chinnakalapet, Periyakalapet, Kanagachettykulam, PIMS Hospital, Tsunami Quarters, Central Jail, Pondicherry University, Puducherry Engineering College, Alankuppam, Sanjeevi Nagar & surrounding areas and the sewage treatment plant.

Power supply will be disrupted between 10 a.m. and in some areas coming under the 22 kV Agaram feeder because of the annual relay calibration work and maintenance work. The places likely to be affected are Sulthanpet, Arasur, Athuvaikalpet, Poraiyur, Agaram, Olavaikkal, Senthanatham Pet, Koodapakkam, Konerikuppam, Ramanathapuram, Pillaiyarkuppam, part of Thondamanatham and surrounding areas.

On Friday, power supply will be hit between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. in Thattanchavady Main Road, Thiruveni Nagar, I.O.C Road, Thillai Nagar, Ambedkar Nagar, V. Manavely, Uthiravakinipet, S.S. Nagar and surrounding areas because of the calibration and maintenance work in 22 kV Kanuvapet feeder.
