Jipmer to get indoor sports complex

Good start: The foundation stone for an indoor sports complex at Jipmer was laid on Thursday.

A ₹13.5 crore indoor sports complex will soon come up on the Jipmer campus. Jipmer Director Dr. S.C. Parija on Thursday laid the foundation stone for the project in the presence of Dr. Ashok Sankar Badhe, Medical Superintendent, Jipmer and Dharmesh Chandra Goel, Chief Engineer, CPWD, Chennai.

The total area of the sports complex will be 40,299 sq. ft. It will have volleyball, basketball, throwball and shuttle badminton courts with imported maple wood flooring. The project will be completed by the end of October.
