‘Graduation is just the beginning of a challenging journey’

NLC India Ltd CMD S.K. Acharya has urged the student community to “explore challenges with resilience and become a change agent to empower and achieve both national and organisational goals.”

In his address at the 10th Graduation Day of Jawahar Science College, Mr. Acharya also advised students to follow their passion and overcome obstacles as graduation marked only the beginning of a very challenging journey.

“You all are at a juncture where the speed of change is so rapid and new concepts are being contemplated every day, paradigms are being redefined and research is opening new vistas,” he said.

Mr. Acharya later gave away degrees to successful candidates. In all, 472 students including 355 girls who graduated during the year 2013-14, 2014-15 and 2015-16 obtained their graduation degrees in person and about 408 in absentia. Besides, 18 students who secured university rank in the respective subjects were honoured.

‘Stay determined’

R. Vikraman, Director (HR) in his presidential address, reminded students that every individual was the master of his or her own destiny. Students should aspire for success in life with determination, he added.

Earlier S.A.F Khalid, ED/Mines and Patron Jawahar Education Society, welcomed the gathering and V.T Chandrasekar, Principal Jawahar Science College presented the annual report and administered the graduation oath to the students.

P. Sathiya Moorthy, DGM/HR, Secretary /JSC and other senior officials participated in the function.
