Bedi effects official reshuffle

T. Karikalan made Joint Director of Project Implementation Agency

PUDUCHERRY

Lieutenant Governor Kiran Bedi has ordered the transfer and posting of 24 Pondicherry Civil Services officers with immediate effect.

As per the order, T. Karikalan will be the new Joint Director, Project Implementation Agency, with additional charge of REAP. S.D Sunderasan will be Additional Secretary (Home, Administrative Reforms and F ire Services) and R. Smitha will be Registrar of Co-operative Societies with additional charge of the Science and Technology Department.

Labour Commissioner E. Vallavan has been given additional charge of Civil Supplies. G. Malarkannan will be Director of Local Administration.

P. Priytarshny will be the Director of Industries and Commerce with additional charge of Textile Mills and Y.L.N Reddy will be Director of Higher and Technical Education with additional charge of Information Technology.

Tourism director

L. Mohamed Mansoor will be the new Tourism Director while A. S Sivakumar will be the Transport Commissioner. M. Sarathy will be the Deputy Secretary (Health and Stationary) and V. Jeeva will be the Under Secretary to Government (Finance). M. Kannan will be the Under Secretary and Chaure Ratnaghosh Kishor will be the Under Secretary (Environment, Housing, Forest and Rural Development).

A. Vincent Rayer, Secretary, Legislative Assembly, will hold additional charge of Puducherry Distilleries Limited. Deputy Conservator of Forest G. Sathiyamoorthy will hold additional charge of PIPDIC.
