Mansoor Latif Khan alias Atiq, main accused in the Mumbai hooch tragedy that claimed 102 lives over the past five days, was arrested in North East Delhi’s Jafrabad on Tuesday by a joint team of the Delhi and Mumbai police.

Investigators claimed that it was Atiq who supplied the illicit brew to the bootleggers operating in Mumbai.

According to the Delhi police, it was on Monday night that they were tipped off by the Mumbai Crime Branch about Atiq’s presence in Seelampur area of North East Delhi. Atiq admitted he had brought spurious liquor to Malvani from Gujarat, police said.
