Missing teenager found dead in pond in Belapur

A 14-year-old boy who went missing from Karave village on Tuesday was found dead in a pond on Parsik Hill in Belapur on Thursday. The police said the boy, Raj Kale, drowned while swimming in the pond. Kale was a Class VIII student at a NMMC-run school in Karave. His father, an auto driver, approached the police after his on did not return home from school. Later, a case of kidnapping case was registered. The police ruled out foul play after recovering the body. A case of accidental death has been filed.
