The Enforcement Directorate on Thursday provisionally attached some more properties belonging to the Bhujbal family in connection with the Maharashtra Sadan scam.

The ED has been investigating the alleged financial malpractices by the Bhujbals, and has also arrested Chhagan Bhujbal and his nephew Sameer in connection with the offences. Both Chhagan and Sameer are currently in judicial custody.

“We have provisionally attached residential, commercial and industrial properties which are registered in the names of members of the Bhujbal family or in the names of the companies controlled by them. These properties are in Mumbai, Nashik and Ahmednagar, and are worth Rs. 90 crore,” an ED officer said.

The ED has already attached properties belonging to the family worth Rs. 343 crore, and the latest development brings the value of the attached properties up to Rs. 433 crore.
