The district has registered a record revenue collection of Rs.68.32 crore through land revenue and revenue recovery proceedings the previous fiscal.
An official release said here on Friday that the Revenue Department collected Rs.42.56 crore from revenue recovery and the remaining Rs.25.72 crore from land revenue. This was an increase of Rs.9.48 crore and Rs.6.2 crore respectively in the two categories.
The release said the district exceeded the target. The State government had given a target of Rs.42.16 crore and Rs.20.42 crore for revenue recovery and land recovery respectively.
