September 24, 2016 12:00 am | Updated November 01, 2016 08:40 pm IST - CHENNAI:

The Tamil Maanila Congress on Friday condemned the resolution passed by the Karnataka Legislature deciding not to release Cauvery water to Tamil Nadu, saying that the action constituted a disregard for the Supreme Court’s order.

In a statement here, the party leader G.K. Vasan said that resolution, passed by the Legislative Assembly, was neither just nor lawful.

The party urged the Centre to implement the Supreme Court order to constitute the Cauvery Management Board, noting that the Karnataka government’s actions showed a disrespect for the same.
