South Sudan envoy visits Vels University

The first Ambassador of South Sudan to India Daniel Peter Othol visited Vels University, Pallavaram recently and interacted with students and faculty members.

In his address, Mr. Daniel emphasised the need for forging strong bonds with friendly nations such as India in the field of education and medical care in particular. As a new nation, having just become independent a little more than a year ago, South Sudan is looking to nation building and education is definitely the area where South Sudanese would be willing to equip themselves, he added. He was impressed with the facilities of the Vels University. He met the vice-president (academic) Arthi Ganesh and interacted with her on the methods by which university can collaborate with South Sudan.
