Police bandobust to continue

Mr. Parajan said that the incident that took place on the school premises was unfortunate and it was the act of the anti-social elements, who couldn't digest the development of the school.
Meanwhile, the police have arrested 23 persons in connection with the burning of furniture and other school records on September 13.
While eight persons were arrested on the day after the incident, the rest were arrested on Friday morning on the basis of the video footage recorded by the police.
Mr. A.G. Babu, Superintendent of Police told The Hindu that police picketing will continue with over 100 police personnel stationed in the vicinity of the school to prevent any untoward incident on Monday.
The picketing will continue till normality returns in the area, he added.
Mr. G. Sridharan, Chief Education Officer, said the education department will conduct a thorough probe on issues that were lingering in the minds of the people regarding the allegations against the school.
