A young doctor, N. Rajesh, was found dead in the water tank of his house in Poompuhar Nagar, Kolathur, on Friday evening.
According to police sources, his parents had gone to Sivaganga to invite relatives for his marriage, slated for July 3.
As Rajesh’s mobile phone was switched off, they asked their neighbours to check their residence. The neighbours, in turn, alerted the police. The police recovered Rajesh’s body from the tank and sent it to the Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital for post-mortem.
The Kolathur police are investigating.
