Actor S.N. Vadivelu on Wednesday lodged a criminal defamation complaint against R.Singamuthu, another actor, in the court of the X Metropolitan Magistrate, Saidapet.

In his complaint, filed through counsel R.C. Paul Kanagaraj, Mr. Vadivelu of Saligramam said Mr. Singamuthu of Ramapuram had been giving several interviews against him. In an interview to a Tamil magazine, he had made specific disparaging remarks against him. Because of this, he had been subject to severe mental hardship. Also, he was answerable to questions put to him because of the “imaginary, illusionary and defamatory words” of Mr. Singamuthu.

Mr. Vadivelu prayed the court to take the complaint on file, try the case and punish the accused.
