To the relief of Metropolitan Transport Corporation commuters, a shelter has been created at Meeenambakkam Metro Station bus stop on Grand Southern Trunk Road. Commuters find the bus stop on the opposite side of the road unsafe as it is located near an electrical transformer. They suggest that the stop be re-located near the entrance of the Meenambakkam Metro Station.

It has been a week since express and deluxe buses started halting at this stop. Earlier, only white and green boards used to halt here. Also, commuters are happy to find all route numbers 21G (Tambaram - Broadway); G18(Guduvancherry - T. Nagar); 1B (Tambaram - Thiruvottiyur); E18 (Guduvancherry - Broadway)

and G70 (Tambaram - Vadapalani) halting at the stop. Earlier, only route numbers 52B (Hasthinapuram – Broadway), 52P (Moovarasampet – Broadway, 60 (Anakaputhur – Broadway) used to halt at the stop.
