Four schools in and around the city will now use hybrid Windows tablets for classroom learning as part of Microsoft India’s ‘Innovative Schools Program’.
Several students of SJT Surana Jain Vidyalaya and Junior College, GT Aloha Vidhya Mandir, Takshila School, Ambur and Vidhyasagar Global School will use Windows 8.1- based tablets, with content mapped to their curriculum and equipped with Office 365 personal and cloud access.
Pratik Mehta, director-education, Microsoft India, said that in July last year, they took a decision to come out with a vertical on education.
Anand P. Surana, correspondent and secretary, Surana Group of Institutions, said it offers students and teachers a “blended learning” environment. He said that students will only be able to access course-based content on the devices.
