Audio CD launched

The audio CD of the album ‘Sri Ranga Vibho,’ comprising songs in praise of Lord Ranganatha in Sri Rangam and sung by the musician Aishwarya Srinivas, was launched here on Wednesday.

N. Murali, president of The Music Academy and co-chairman of Kasturi and Sons Limited, who released the CD, said Ms. Aishwarya had not only excelled in music but also in the academic sphere. “What chartered accountancy has lost, music has gained. With the passion and dedication that Ms. Aishwarya has, she will go a long way,” he said.

“She was trained under D.K .Pattamal. Then, she learnt specialised compositions from M. Balamuralikrishna, Sulochana Pattabiraman, R.K. Srikantan and now P.S. Narayanaswami,” he added.

K.N. Ramaswamy, director of Bhavan’s Chennai Kendra and musician P.S. Narayanaswami were present.
