Ungalukagha Charitable Trust in association with Thamizhnadu Brahmins’ Association (THAMBRAAS) conducted a free mega medical camp at Sri Sitaram Vidyalaya Matricualtion Hr. Sec. School, West Mambalam. More than 850 patients were benefited from the camp.
Shri M. Ravi, Inspector General of Police, inaugurated the camp at 8 a.m. Dr. Suneel, f ounder and managing trustee, Ungaluagha Charitable Trust presided over the inauguration. N. Narayanan, president TAMBRAAS, G. Prakash Reddy, chairman, PTR Leather Exports, Pyramid Natarajan graced the occasion.
M. Ravi appreciated the trust for giving free medical treatment for multi-ailments. He asked the patients to avoid stress in their everyday life and practise yoga and meditation, which will give a peaceful and stress-free life.
Dr. Suneel thanked the guests, doctors and para-medical staff and volunteers. Requesting the people to use the facilities at the camp, he said those who need further surgical treatment would be given concession with the help of several hospitals. Dr. C. Natesan, the senior physician and chairman of BR specialty hospital, examined the first patient.
Twenty specialist consultants, 6 PG medical students, 4 physiotherapists, 35 nurses, 2 sonologists, 2 radiologists, 2 echo technicians were present. Four pharmacists distributed free medicine worth around Rs.1.5 lakh.
