Cheating case against actor Shruthi Haasan withdrawn

April 21, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:33 am IST - CHENNAI:

Picture House Media Ltd., a film production company, has withdrawn the cheating case filed against actor Shruthi Haasan, after the intervention of various Tamil film bodies.

It was alleged the actor regularly missed her shooting schedules for the untitled project featuring actors Karthi and Nagarjuna.

The film was to be directed by Vamsi Paidipalli. It was further alleged the actor had reneged on her contractual obligations and opted out of the film.

The intervention of Tamil Film Producers Council and South Indian Film Artists Association has helped to amicably settle the issue.
