: Shuttle aggregator ZipGo on Friday suspended its services across the city in the face of continued enforcement drives by the Transport Department, which has repeatedly it pulled up for permit violations.

The department continued extensive checking of vehicles in outlying areas like ITPL, Kadugodi and Tin Factory on Friday.

Around 200 vehicles were seized. It is unclear as to how many of these vehicles were operated by ZipGo.

Users of the app got a message that read: ‘Our services are not operational today due to Transport Department (RTO) issue’. Booking was available on none of the routes.

Sources in the Transport Department said the suspension of services was the result of talks between the company and the department held sometime this week. The aggregator is said to have been advised to immediately stop operations before pursuing permission to ply.
