Two days after water supply was hit in the core areas of the city, BWSSB said on Monday that 80 per cent of the supply was restored to the affected areas by evening. The acute water shortage was a result of a transformer blast at the Harohalli pumping station on Saturday.

Water supply was hit on Sunday and Monday, causing inconvenience to many residents and others. A BWSSB official said that the work on the transformer will be completed on Tuesday.
